Recent research has uncovered the effect a double chin can have on self-perception and behaviour, with half of the people surveyed (1,996 men and women) feeling the area under their chin negatively impacts their appearance. Al Nour Clinic has been treating and removing double chins in Perth for over 13 years and we have a large array of treatments available including CoolSculpting, Lipodissolve and Fat Dissolving Injections and Thermage skin tightening.
The first step in removing your double chin is to book an analysis consultation with our Doctor to discuss treatment options for you. Phone (08) 9481 3366 or book a double chin assessment online.
Al Nour Clinic specialise in double chin treatment or the removal of submental fat from under the chin. To effectively treat this area we need to address two concerns, firstly the removal of submental fat and secondly the tightening of loose skin. We have four treatments at our disposal to give you the desired result you are looking for.
Here at Al Nour Clinic, Dr Abu Laban pioneered Lipodissolve injections which use PPC, a naturally occurring substance in the body that plays a role related to fat metabolism. It is ideal for those with localised, small to moderate amounts of fat in areas such as abdomen, hips, thighs, buttocks and double chin that proved resistant to dieting and exercise.
A synthetic version of deoxycholic acid, a substance your body produces to help absorb fats, is a medication our doctor can prescribe and administer which is an injectable treatment that destroys fat cells under the chin.
Coolsculpting technology safely delivers precisely controlled cooling to gently and effectively target the fat cells underneath the skin while leaving the skin itself unaffected. The treated fat cells are crystallized (frozen) with your body naturally removing the cells, leaving a more sculpted chin and neck. Coolsculpting can remove fat from many areas of the body including: chin/ neck, abdomen, love handles, inner and outer thighs, arms, mid back (bra area) and male breast (gynaecomastia).
Often a big concern of a patient with a double chin is the skin laxity or loose skin associated with this concern. We use industry leading Thermage skin tightening on the neck and jowls if needed.
A double chin can be treated in many different ways. Often clinics will have one solution to treat a double chin, but every patient is different and this requires a personalised solution, often calling on more than one treatment options. The first step is to book a double chin analysis consultation with our doctor. From this consultation you will get a personalised treatment plan and cost to achieve your desired result. From there our doctor can begin your treatment.
Lipodissolve – The procedure takes less than 30 minutes. The active medication is injected via very thin needles into the treatment area.
Fat Dissolving Injections – The treatment is quick and easy, usually taking about 15-30 minutes. A series of injections are placed under the chin to target the unwanted fat in specified areas.
Coolsculpting – Treatment time will vary depending on the area being treated. Coolsculpting requires no anaesthesia and only poses a very mild discomfort during treatment sessions during which the device is targeting those unwanted fat cells.
Thermage – is a non-surgical radiofrequency (RF) cosmetic procedure used to tighten skin in the treated area.
Lipodissolve – Approximately 2-5 sessions are usually needed to achieve desired results. Final results are usually seen at 12 weeks post treatment.
Fat Dissolving Injections – Treatment requirements will vary from patient to patient. Visible results can be expected following 2-4 treatments administered 4-6 weeks apart. In some cases, up to 6 treatments may be required to achieve the desired look. Follow up treatments should not be required as results are maintained.
Coolsculpting – To achieve your desired results, patients usually require 1-2 treatments per targeted area.
Thermage – Usually one treatment is required but this will depend on a number of factors including your age and the amount of tightening needed.
Lipodissolve – Transient swelling and discomfort is expected for a few days after the procedure.
Fat Dissolving Injections – Side effects of this treatment are similar to other injectable treatments with localised swelling, redness and bruising which should all subside fairly quickly.
Coolsculpting – You may experience some localised redness, swelling, bruising and sensitivity following treatment which should subside fairly quickly.
Thermage – There will be some redness in the treated area which will subside quickly.
